We decided to go to St. George for Spring break and actually go the entire week. At first I wondered if it would be too long but it turned out great with plenty to do and relax! We went to our favorite park at the bottom of the hill at least 4 times- with fun things for even the adults.
then we had hours of fun in the pool, baby pool, and hot tub. Taylor and I always enjoy reading in the shade or holding sleeping babies!
Love how relaxed and chubby Ethan looks here. Also, love my girls and how sweet they are to Lily!Went to Pirate Island pizza which makes huge pizza-- We couldn't even eat half of it and before we were done, Gabe climbed into Lily's stroller and promptly fell asleep.
We invited Marcia and Dan for the first 3 days and when Sophie sprained her ankle the first morning, grandma made sure she had a wrap and was taken care of well. We went to Snow canyon a couple times.Stopped by Tuachan but nothing was playing yet. The kids loved the big stage.
Despite all the stairs at the condo, it was beautiful and in a great location near the tennis courts and pool. Grandpa gave Ethan his own Tetris game and they were both happy as could be.
Winter just continues to linger this year but not in St. George where we spent lots of time on the lawn just talking, playing ball and visiting with my aunts dog 'Austin' we love.
My brother Mike and his kids happened to be in St. George as well so we went to Zions with them one day. It isn't as easy to get around in the summer there as they make you leave your car and ride their busses everywhere. It was beautiful and part of our group went on the longer part of the hike to Emerald falls.
Jordana and my dad.We got to the top and ate our lunch at the base of the falls. Gabe fell in the mud at the first waterfall but was able to keep it together and make it to the top.
A few days later we went north of St. George to Red cliffs near Leeds which has a great family hike. It comes to a place where you have to hold onto a rope and step into carved footholds in the rock to get up to the higher level. Taylor took Carissa, Ethan, and Gabe up there to swim. I don't mind getting my feet wet but most of the entertainment comes from watching others jump into the frigid waters (even the people I don't know).
Carissa being brave and jumping into the deeper swim hole.
On one of our last days, Taylor and I were able to spend time at the Biggest Loser fitness camp. He has a business associate that works there that wanted us to come and experience the program. The minimum sign up is a week long but we were there for the day so many participants thought we were reporters. It was very inspiring and enjoyable. The lunch we ate was cooked by their chefs and under 300 calories but delicious. They took us on a hike and we did some water workouts. Wish we could have spent longer there but it was really great and I realized how 'not in shape' I am!
We had a great week in sunny St. George!!!
