Grandma Eva

Grandma passed away a year ago and she has really been missed.  We went to the Bountiful temple (her favorite) to seal her to my dad.  It was a great experience and very peaceful.  I love my parents and all of my siblings and spouses so much!  We are all so different from each other but I actually really enjoy that.  I learn a lot from their examples and opinions and feel very lucky!  None of them read this blog so I can be as cheesy as I like!  After, we went to Robintinos in honor of Grandma (we would eat there with her ever since we were little-- back when Robintinos was in the other location).  You can read more about Grandma and her life here.

Fall

Ethan played flag football his fall instead of soccer and really loved it.  He even scored a touchdown.  I am thinking it is much better than soccer as it is more fast-paced and interesting.
I've always wanted to go to Cornbelly's so we finally did and brought a couple cousins.  Giant jumping pillow that just emerges out of the dirt.
They were bored on the cow train but we made them ride it anyway b/c the line was short and we always get this smile from Gabe.
The Corn maze has instructions which aren't too helpful with about 20 choices you have to make before they give you another hint.  Whenever we went through a more narrow part of the maze, the kids thought we were cheating but we kept saying it was fine b/c this maze is a picture and has wide and narrow passages.  If we stuck to wide passages, we never would have made it out.

We hit Snowbird the next day with beautiful weather.  The tram ride up was fun and the view up top was also great!

This is the backside of the Wasatch mountains looking towards Heber (with our 3 extra kids)!

The kids loved riding in the tram and each time we passed a post, they would all scream/squeal as it caused us to sway.  Here's Sophie and Heather.
No picture can do the view justice when you feel like you are on top of the world.  The day was so clear you could see the Salt Lake Valley all the way to Kennecott.  This was the last warm day as it snowed a few days later.

Lily reads!

Lily loves to read and wear tutus.  She only has one volume when reading however so it poses a problem in sacrament meeting and when we are in one of the kids school classes to volunteer.  I love her voice and her special language.

Sisters

Sophie is always such a great help with Lily.  Last month, she begged to tie Lily's stroller to her bike to pull her but I explained it wouldn't be safe and kind of shrugged it off not thinking she was serious.  A couple days later, I had to walk up the street for just a minute and when I came back, this is what I found.

Sophie had given it a lot of thought and decided to try anyway and Lily was delighted as well.  Luckily I wasn't gone long and ended up following her up and down the street for a little while so she could have her fun and Lily would remain IN the stroller.  In the end, the rope kept getting caught in the tire and the game became boring.
Lily is on a polka dot kick and doesn't like to wear anything without polka dots which she calls 'bubble-treats'.  I was trying to get her to wear her new winter clothes but she wouldn't try on the jeans until Sophie made them 'bubble-treats' and then she wore them... even once the post-its came off.

Sisters are the best!
