Vegas

Taylor and I managed to get away for 2 nights to Las Vegas for his birthday.  The drive down and back was great as we listened to an audio book and OUR choice of music.  We went to an unbelievable steakhouse at Baly's with this fabulous wallpaper and a very chatty waiter.  The food was worth it though.  We then went
to Phantom of the Opera which I had never seen live.  The stage was amazing and perfomances wonderful.

The Bellagio had a huge garden of flowers which was so pretty we went back for photos.

We stayed at the hotel with a shark tank in the pool and the water slide goes through it.  To get a picture of me on the slide, I had to go down it 8 times and without my kids as the excuse, the lifeguard probably knew I really do love waterslides.

We had never been to the Las Vegas temple but it was striking against the red mountains and the endowment rooms were so small and cozy.

We went to the Mirage to see the dolphins and white tigers from Siegfried and Roy shows.

We got to stop for a short visit to see Cathy and Tommy at their place and eat all her candy.  Love that girl.
I had such a great time with Taylor and although it was just two nights, it was the perfect getaway to warm weather.
